John Lee Williamson, better known as 'Sonny Boy 1' revolutionized the role of the blues harmonica. He is joined on Bluebird Blues (1937) by Big Joe Williams and Robert Lee McCoy. Sonny Boy 1 was a first rate song writer and effective vocalist. His most successful tunes include 'Shake the Boogie' 'You'd Better Cut That Out' 'Sloppy Drunk' 'Early in the Morning' 'Good Morning Little School Girl and Hoodoo Hoodoo'. He has influenced other blues harmonica players from Sonny Boy Arnold, Sonny Terry, Junior Wells, Little Walter, Snooky Pryor and many others. Tragically, Sonny Boy was murdered on the streets of Chicago in 1948, whilst returning home from a gig at the Plantation Club. He was 34 years old. Visuals made using Power Director, a piece of papier mache that i made and the video was lit by candlelight to get that flickering ole time feeling...バックの映像は、なんじゃ??

The waterpump blues duo - Live by the lakeside!!ポンプ、立派なリズム隊や(^O^)
Water splashing and rhythm swinging - I dig it, folks. This pump is simply awesome, so I HAD to go back and jam some more with it! Here's another clip featuring my National Duolian and this old, very old invention called a hydraulic ram pump!! It's just freakin' cool how steady and laidback it can provide this groovy beat!!!!! The lyrics are from Son House's song: Preaching the blues.
Filmed at Arvemuséet, Sweden by Christer Ljungeaus.
