Bruce Springsteen titled the song after the main character from John Steinbeck's 1939 novel The Grapes of Wrath. He hoped the song would personify or represent the voices of the hopeless, disenfranchised, and invisible as the book was said to do in the 1930s.

2010年5月に結成。伊東妙子(Gu / DIESEL ANN)、篠田智仁(Bass / COOLWISE MAN) によるギ ターヴォーカル、ベースのデュオ。2010年9月自主制作による1ST CD「T字路s」 を発表。 2011年7月FUJIROCK FESTIVAL'11苗場食堂に出演。 2012年2月2ndミニアルバム「マヅメドキ」を発表。全国津々浦々ライブ­ハウスはもちろんカフェ、バー 、映画館、居酒屋、etc人の集うあらゆる場所で年間80本以上のライブを行う。­ロックンロール、フォ ーク&ブルース、アンダーグラウンド、激情を歌うイトウタエコの声、DEAD or ALIVEな世界観は現代 のブルースと評され全国各地に熱烈な支持者が急増している。
